Completed: 2008
An animated map was produced for the permanent exhibition at the memorial site of the concentration camp in Flossenbürg. On the one hand, the map illustrates in chronological order the development of about 100 external camps of the concentration camp Flossenbürg. On the other hand, the animation shows clearly that the camps were dissolved by the Germans as the allied forces advanced. Thus the prisoners were sent on so-called death marches. The allied forces reached the last camps first in May 1945. In the animation, the period of time and the course of the death marches, which are connected to the camp system of Flossenbuerg, are depicted.
